We were very sad to hear of the problems with AVSIM and hope that they will be up and running again soon.  As a small step to ensuring the continued availablilty AFCAD files for both FS9 and FSX we have set up the ScruffyDuck Download Center.  We will be uploading the work of many authors and groups and hope that this will help the community whil AVSIM is getting back on its feet.  Click one of the buttons above to access the Center.  It will take us a little while to get a good selection of files uploaded.  If you are a developer and would like us to include your files then please email your zipped up packages to uploads@scruffyduck.org.uk with the usual readme and the file title and description in the email

Airport Design Editor Version 1.40 goes Gold
Today we passed the final build for 1.40 to the pre-release team.  This means that the next version of ADE is ready to ship.  We expect the pre-release testing to take about a week and then the program will be ready to download.

We have run into some technical issues around the new version of ADE.  As a result the release will be delayed until we have sorted them out.  Hopefully this will not take too long.

Well it has been a long time since we had any news!  That is not because we have no been busy however.  We are now in the final pre-release stage for the next version of Airport Design Editor.  We are very excited about this version because it includes a graphically based approach designer.  The designer has a display that mimics the GPS in FSX and shows how the approach will look while you are working on it.  We hope to be ready to release in the next few days.

We have just released an update to FSX Airport Scanner.  This deals with issues found in a number of files created by third party airport design utilities.  This is a required update.  The zip file contains a complete copy and all the files needed to run FAS.  Please just copy them into your existing installation.  If you are a new user then please follow the installation instructions in the Readme File.   Download FAS version 0.8.05 here.
